Wichita Aero Club ON-AIR SUMMIT Expected to Draw Large Crowd
November 29, 2011 6:59am
The December 7 luncheon of the Wichita Aero Club is expected to be one of the organization’s largest in terms of attendance according to early reservations. “We still have plenty of room for additional attendees, but our reservations a week before the event are running far ahead of most months,” said Dave Franson, WAC Executive Director. “The ON-AIR Summit has traditionally been a huge draw, and this year, it appears, will be no exception. The chance to hear from the leaders of our major aerospace manufacturers, all in one place and at the same time, obviously creates interest.”
Franson also noted that the panel has changed slightly with Cessna’s Senior Vice President of Sales, Mark Paolucci, replacing the company’s Senior VP of Business Jets, Brad Thress. “Brad’s travel schedule made it difficult for him to participate, so Mark, who has been with Cessna for 32-years and has moved up through the ranks, will be a terrific representative on the panel.” Others participating include Airbus North America Engineering’s John O’Leary, Bombardier Learjet’s Ralph Acs, Hawker Beechcraft’s Bill Boisture, and Spirit AeroSystem’s Jeff Turner. Fred George, senior editor of Business & Commercial Aviation magazine, will act as the moderator for the panel. The entire program will be posted on the Wichita Aero Club website following completion of the discussion.
The event is being jointly sponsored by Yingling Aviation and Air Capital Insurance of Wichita. Reservations can be made by calling 316-641-5962 or online at the WAC website, www.wichitaaeroclub.org.
